Balance is a piece that demonstrates the necessity for polarity. It is through the never-ending play of opposites that life finds its meaning. We cannot have darkness without light. We cannot understand happiness without sadness. In spiritual practice the deepest states of spiritual ecstasy are found through a balance between focus and relaxation. We must honor the opposites within ourselves and in each other.
