3 Must Have Qualities in a Successful Life Coaching Client

Hi my name is Nicole. I am a life coach and spiritual mentor with over a decade of experience in helping my clients find success.

What do I mean by success? Well, in the past I focused on bringing people material success. Think taking someone who is making 20k a year and helping them make 6 figures or multiple 6 figures, but over the years and through observing my clients and doing research, I realized that changing the material reality doesn't always bring true fulfillment. Now I focus on inner transformation which naturally results in a beautiful exterior transformation as well. True fulfillment is also lightyears beyond what we normally experience as human beings.

Normal human success at its best is a 10 on a scale of 10. The kind of success I bring to my clients is a deep spiritual fulfillment. One where you realize the scale never ended at 10, but actually ends at 1 billion+. My clients get that one billion+ and feel blissful peace regardless of what external circumstances look like. They have bliss within that pervades their entire reality from the inside out.

Everyone is capable of this, but not all are ready to do this type of work. I found that those who are ready to start the transformation necessary to experience this TRUE fulfillment will have at the very least the tiniest grain of these 3 Qualities (I can work with the tiniest of grains!).

#1 A grain of TRUST: They have some level of trust in me or feel comfortable with me as a coach.

They don't have to trust me full on as that will develop as we go, but they need to be comfortable enough with me that they are able to remain open, share from a vulnerable place and let themselves go enough for me to lead, guide and support them while I help them get their own inner guidance system working. I have also noticed that past clients that did not trust me for whatever reason or had a conflict of interest with me (i.e. they were trying to create a similar business to mine) were often difficult to work with and sometimes tried to pass off my work as their own. I noticed their lack of trust in the beginning and tried to break through it, but was left in one case with a client betraying me and stealing from me. Lack of trust can result in more than just a lack of transformation for the client, but can be detrimental to the coach as well. If there is no trust I simply do not work with that prospective client.

Another thing to note- they do not even have to trust themselves in the beginning of coaching as I will teach them how to repair their relationship with themselves, but they do have to have a certain level of trust in me and my work.

#2 A grain FAITH: They do not need convincing.

I will never convince someone to work with me or hire me. I will never use manipulation tactics or fear tactics to contrive someone to sign up for coaching. My clients must make this decision on their own. If someone is asking me for permission or requesting me to convince them to sign up for my services I acknowledge right from jump that this client will only be comfortable working with me if imbalanced power dynamics are at play. I cannot work with someone that wants me to tell them who they are or what to do. The transformational nature of my coaching is dependent on them learning how to ascertain that for themselves and they need at least the tiniest grain of this empowered nature within them already if I am to work with them on developing their power.

Imbalanced power dynamics only lead to a guru/disciple relationship which is counter to any work we can possibly do together to help them undo their conditionings and complete a full transformation into their most empowered selves. Watch my youtube video about the dangers of this type of imbalanced power relationship here.

Now there is an important thing to note about what happens when many prospective clients reach out to start coaching. It is the wildest thing and I don't think it is talked about enough! Many of the reasons why a prospective client NEEDS DESPERATELY to work with a coach are the EXACT REASONS why a prospective client will end up struggling to sign up for coaching and these reasons will often keep them from signing up for coaching at all!

For example, a client may struggle with poverty consciousness. They have the money to pay for coaching, but they are afraid of spending $. Or perhaps they are afraid to spend $ on themselves. Them signing up for coaching will be their first breakthrough to undo this poverty mindset conditioning.

Another example, a client may struggle with choosing to do things that they are inspired to do! They are always doing things that they were told they "should" do, either by their parents, their partners or their teachers. They constantly deny their inspirations and always follow the path of duty. Them signing up for coaching will be their first breakthrough to undo the conditioning of denying their authentic selves.

A final example (though there are hundreds!), a client may be afraid of who they will become as a result of coaching. On a deep level they know that coaching will result in a full inner and outer restructuring. They know it will lead them to the most powerful version of themselves, but they are very much attached to their life as it is even if it is incredibly unfulfilling. They are scared of letting go. Them signing up for coaching will be their very first breakthrough in undoing their programming of disempowerment. It will be their first step in becoming empowered and they will immediately feel a return of energy, even on a physical level by making the jump and beginning their work with me!

I have seen this play out SO many times. In fact it happens in almost every prospective client call that I take. It is almost as if every client I work with must cross a threshold in order to work with me. They must take some leap of faith or walk through some fire in order to work with me. A breakthrough is required in order to even begin. It is as if that is just a part of the deal. A proof that they are ready so to speak.

So during the initial prospective coaching call I may point out this test of faith to the client, I may encourage them to be brave, but I will never force them to take the leap. They must make that decision on their own. Which leads me to number 3...

#3 A grain of SURRENDER: They must be WILLING (& ready)

They must be ready for this work whether it is the day they send their coaching payment or the day we meet for the first session they must show up ready on day one to do the work. Many people can easily afford the time commitment or financial commitment for coaching, but few can actually show up willing to do the work. With a combination of trust in me (#1) and their leap of faith (#2) they are typically ready and I found that the coaching work often begins the moment they verbally state with me that they 100% want to do it. Even if our first session doesn't start until a week later it is as if on a subconscious level the transformative wave of coaching already starts to begin its work in their lives. In some cases it begins even before the call as they are already ready :). It is the coolest thing I have experienced with coaching. I have to admit it freaks me out sometimes.

So there you have it! I have had SO MANY clients that have embodied all of these qualities and in the end they ended up in a state of bliss experiencing true fulfillment :). Remember you only need a little grain of each #1, #2 & #3 you don't need a whole pile of trust, faith or surrender. Just a grain. I have the ability to magnify even the tiniest amount within you. You will see! Feel free to set up a 15 minute coaching call on my website if you're interested in working with me. I can't wait: https://nicolebrenny.com/sessions
